10 rounds of minor key, 4-measure sight singing examples
An answer key for tonic solfege for each example
30 Spooky Singing Challenge Cards
How to play:
All groups will begin with example #1. (I would give every student a copy.) Each group also receives one spooky Singing Challenge Card. (One card per group.) Groups should practice the singing the melodies in their group and when they feel comfortable singing the example, the group will “race” to you to perform. If they perform the melody correctly (and include the challenge for that round), they get Solfege #2 and a new challenge card. This process will repeat until the first group finishes the last melody example. The first group to successfully perform all examples wins the race!
My choirs LOVE to compete against their classmates in this singing race! They don't even notice they are secretly practicing sight singing! Win win!!
