Flashcard Games:
Headbands- Play a version of the popular game “Headbands”. Students take a flashcard and without looking, hold it to their forehead. Then, they walk around the room, asking other students for hints about their card. First to guess correctly wins? First to correctly guess 5 cards wins? Do what works for your classroom!
Around the World with Music- Project one card at a time and let students buzz in with the correct answer.
Partner Review- Pair students and use flashcards the old-fashioned way. One student can quiz the other. Great for preparing for a class quiz/test/assignment.
On the Back- Tape a card to the student’s back and play similarly to Headbands. Student must walk around the room asking questions about their card. First to guess wins!
Find your Partner- Print two sets of flashcards and secretly pass out pairs of cards to students. Students may look at their card, but not let other students see it. Students must walk around and ask questions to other
Matching- Print cards one sided and give each student one card. The goal is to find their partner by asking questions.
